Our team at Jerry Seiner Cadillac can walk you through the EV tax credit process during your purchase or lease. In most cases, if the vehicle qualifies, the credit can be applied at the time of sale as a point-of-sale rebate through the dealership.
As of now, certain trims of the Cadillac LYRIQ may qualify for the full $7,500 federal EV tax credit if they meet the latest battery sourcing and final assembly requirements. Our finance team can verify eligibility at the time of purchase.
Yes, leasing an EV may still allow you to benefit from the federal tax credit. In most cases, the credit goes to the leasing company, which may pass the savings along to you in the form of lower monthly payments or a reduced down payment.
You can review the most up-to-date rules and eligibility requirements for the EV tax credit on the IRS website at www.irs.gov. Our team at Jerry Seiner Cadillac is also happy to help you interpret these rules and apply them to your purchase or lease.
